Computer Engineering Department
General information
The Computer Department was started in 1984. Initially the following courses were conducted in the department :
· Post Diploma in Computer Application
· Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications
· Advanced Diploma in Computer Software, System Analysis & Applications
The Autonomous Diploma Program in Computer Engineering was started in 1995.
· Well qualified and experienced faculty.
· Well equipped laboratories with all the required facilities and the equipments.
· Use of e-learning material.
· The computer centre of this Institute was the first centre to be established in Pune.
· Good alumni support is available in various activities like Guest Lectures, Industrial Visits, Curriculum Development etc.

Mission :
· To inculcate social and ethical values along with technical proficiency
· To enhance curricula in tune with technological developments
· To develop faculty and infrastructure for effective implementation of curricula
· To strengthen association with industry and alumni
Program Educational Objectives:
The students will be able to
1. Pursue career in Computer Software Design and Development.
2. Lead interdisciplinary projects.
3. Start own enterprise or be an IT consultant.
Program Specific Outcomes:
The diploma holder in Computer Engineering will be able to
1. Troubleshoot hardware and network problems.
2. Create web and multimedia applications.
3. Pursue higher education for professional development and career growth.
